Submissions

At Heartbeat Publishing LLC, we welcome submissions across all genres—from both agented and independent authors. Whether you’re a debut writer or have previous publication experience, we’d love to review your work. Expect an initial decision within three to four weeks. If selected, we’ll invite your full manuscript for the next review phase.

Crime, Mystery, Adventure, & Thrillers Submitting Requirements:

– Completed Manuscript should contain 75,000 – 120,000 words

– Subject line should include genre and book title

– Message should contain Synopsis and first chapter of your manuscript.

Fantasy, Science Fiction, & War Submitting Requirements:

– Completed Manuscript should contain 50,000-150,000 words

– Subject line should include genre and book title

– Message should contain Synopsis and first chapter of your manuscript.

General Fiction, Romance Fiction, & Young Adult Fiction Submitting Requirements:

– Completed Manuscript should contain 50,000-75,000 words

– Subject line should include genre and book title

– Message should contain Synopsis and first chapter of your manuscript.

Poetry

Please include five of your strongest poems in the message body—and confirm you have at least 100 completed poems. Use this format in your subject line: [Genre] – Title – Total Poems.

Short Stories

Submit 10–20 short stories. In the body of your message, include a single story. Subject line format: Genre – Title.

Beta Reading

We offer beta reader feedback on near-final manuscripts. (No attachments, please—send text in the body of your message.)
